slj day 2 - up in the air



Jean Batten


  • was a kiwi

  • her mum helped her reach her dream of flying

  • her cat buddy flew with her

  • she never got married

  • she lived a long life and died in 1982 from a dog bite.




Amelia Earhart


  • was an american

  • was the first lady to fly solo over the atlantic ocean

  • got lost over the pacifac and was never found

  • she died when she went missing in 1937




Both


  • flew solo

  • were famous women for their flying

    Bula Oli,

    Great work on completing another Summer Learning Journey activity. There is only one more day left to get those activities done and gain those points so keep blogging and commenting.

    Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart both accomplished amazing things in aviation. I didn't know that Jean Battens cat used to fly along with her, if i even try and put my cat near our car, he's gone. Have you been on a plane before?
